Monk CI Secures $450K Pre-Seed Funding to Reinvent Continuous Integration for AI-Driven Software Teams
Bengaluru, India – June 2026: Monk CI, a next-generation continuous integration (CI) platform built for the AI-powered software development era, has announced the successful closure of its $450,000 (approximately ₹4 crore) pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by Campus Fund, with participation from Point One Capital and a group of prominent angel investors. The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the company's engineering team, complete the development of its core infrastructure, achieve additional enterprise compliance certifications, and accelerate its go-to-market strategy across India before expanding into the United States.
As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms software development, engineering teams are experiencing an unprecedented increase in code generation and pull requests. While AI coding assistants have significantly improved developer productivity, they have also placed enormous pressure on traditional continuous integration systems that were never designed to support today's build volumes. Monk CI is addressing this growing challenge with a platform engineered specifically for the AI era, enabling companies to build, test, and deploy software faster, more efficiently, and at significantly lower costs.
Founded by Ujjwal Prashant and Nitin Mandale, both graduates of IIT Roorkee's 2023 B.Tech batch, Monk CI was created after the founders experienced firsthand the limitations of existing CI infrastructure while working on enterprise-scale software projects. Their mission is to eliminate the hidden costs, slow build times, and operational inefficiencies that continue to impact software teams worldwide.
Unlike traditional CI solutions, Monk CI integrates seamlessly with GitHub through a simple one-line configuration change, allowing engineering teams to continue using familiar workflows while dramatically improving performance. The platform is designed to make GitHub Actions up to 10 times faster while reducing infrastructure costs by as much as 75 percent.
Monk CI delivers significant improvements across every stage of the software build process. Docker image builds are accelerated by up to 40 times, cache restoration speeds improve by 4 times, and compute performance increases by 3 times, all while maintaining a lower per-minute cost than conventional CI platforms. These performance gains help engineering teams reduce development bottlenecks, shorten release cycles, and improve overall developer productivity.
Beyond raw performance, Monk CI introduces intelligent automation that reduces the time developers spend diagnosing failed builds. Instead of manually searching through lengthy build logs, teams receive AI-generated summaries that clearly explain the root cause of failures in plain language. The platform also incorporates self-healing AI agents capable of automatically generating pull requests with suggested fixes, enabling developers to resolve issues more quickly and maintain deployment velocity without unnecessary delays.
Commenting on the funding announcement, the founders emphasized that continuous integration has become one of the most overlooked productivity challenges in modern software engineering. As AI-generated code continues to increase build frequency, legacy CI systems are struggling with slow Docker builds, restrictive concurrency limits, limited cache storage, opaque pricing structures, and the absence of effective debugging tools. Monk CI was built to solve these problems through a modern architecture designed specifically for today's AI-assisted development workflows.
The founders bring extensive technical and enterprise experience to the company. During his final semester at IIT Roorkee, Ujjwal Prashant joined EZAIX as Head of Engineering, where he led engineering operations while contributing to both business strategy and product development. He later worked as a Backend and DevOps Engineer at Deutsche Bank, where he successfully reduced software testing times from five hours to just 45 minutes while developing scalable cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.
Co-founder Nitin Mandale previously served as Chief Technology Officer at EZAIX, leading product architecture, enterprise delivery, and engineering operations. Under his leadership, the company secured enterprise engagements with organizations including Microsoft, Kroger, the State of South Dakota, and the US Department of State. His experience navigating enterprise security, compliance, and infrastructure requirements has helped shape Monk CI into a platform capable of serving large organizations from day one.
The partnership between Ujjwal and Nitin dates back to their first year at IIT Roorkee. Their shared experiences building software products and managing enterprise deployments exposed them to the recurring inefficiencies of traditional CI systems, ultimately inspiring the creation of Monk CI.
Security and compliance remain central to the company's enterprise strategy. Monk CI is already SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliant, meeting the rigorous security, privacy, and data management standards required by enterprise customers evaluating infrastructure platforms.
With its latest funding, Monk CI is well positioned to accelerate product development while expanding its presence in India's rapidly growing developer ecosystem. The company plans to continue investing in AI-powered automation, enterprise-grade infrastructure, and customer acquisition before entering the highly competitive US market.
As AI continues reshaping software development, Monk CI aims to become the preferred continuous integration platform for engineering teams seeking faster builds, intelligent automation, lower infrastructure costs, and enterprise-ready security, all within a developer-friendly experience designed for the future of software delivery.
