Rourkela, Odisha – From humble roots in textile trading to becoming a leading name in India’s iron and steel sector, Shree Ganesh Metaliks Ltd. (SGML) has built its legacy on vision, innovation, and integrity. What began in the early 1980s under the leadership of Late Nathmal Agarwal has now evolved into a multi-dimensional enterprise with operations in sponge iron production, steel billets, TMT bars, power generation, and real estate development.

Under the guidance of Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal (Managing Director) and Mr. Ravi Kumar Agarwal (Director – Sales), SGML has not only scaled production but also expanded its reach across India. Starting from Odisha, the company now has a strong presence in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Punjab, and other key states, serving both government and private infrastructure needs.

Advanced Manufacturing Infrastructure

SGML’s integrated steel plant in Chadri Hariharpur, Odisha, is equipped with:

• Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) Unit
• Induction Furnace Steel Melting Shop
• Continuous Billet Casting Mill
• High-Speed Rolling Mill with Thermex System

Developed in collaboration with Concast AG (Zurich) and HSE (Germany), this modern infrastructure allows the company to achieve high efficiency, consistent quality, and cost-effective production.

Product Portfolio

Sponge Iron:

As the largest manufacturer in Rourkela, SGML produces 1.5 lakh TPA of high-quality sponge iron through a carefully controlled reduction process. Each batch is tested to meet stringent industry standards.

Billets:

With a production capacity of 1.86 lakh tonnes annually, SGML billets are engineered for durability and are compliant with IS: 2830 & 2831 standards.

TMT Bars:

Manufactured using German Thermex technology, SGML TMT bars feature a strong Tempered Martensite outer layer and a flexible Ferrite-Pearlite core, making them ideal for flyovers, bridges, dams, and other critical structures. All bars comply with IS 1786:2008 standards.
