Mirta R. Acero, Ph. D has always had a keen interest in History and Geopolitics since her childhood in Spain. This is why she did her bachelor´s degree in History of Art at ULL and UMA Universities in Spain. She continued her journey by completing the expertise in Valuation of Cultural and Art heritage by Valencia Polytechnic University, with a post-degree in Musical Pedagogy by Complutense University in Madrid and another one in Modern and Contemporary History by UMA University in Málaga. However, Mirta´s thirst for knowledge wasn´t fulfilled yet. She completed her master´s degree in International Relations and Foreign Trade by Complutense University with doctoral courses in Mediterranean Relations through gender, society and culture by UMA University.
Later on, she did her Ph.D in European Identity and Constitutional Framework at Rey Juan Carlos University in collaboration with IRELAC-ICHEC, Brussels.
After all of this, Mirta became director for an Art Deco gallery in Marbella-Puerto Banús in Spain where she excelled in her work. But this wasn´t enough for her and became a professor of History of Spain and LATAM at the University of Szeged, Hungary.
This continued for a couple of years, but it was mind for her business acumen to come into play. Mirta became an international consultant in Strategic Investments and VIP relations with Asteel Management consultancy and Blue Sign Pr consultancy based in Uk. It is evident that Mirta is well-versed in Art and History with a sharp mind for business. She has published more than 60 articles and a book as well, preparing next one for 2023.
Mirta founded in 2017 a non-for profit company in USA named Occidental Studies Institute (OSI) and also a virtual magazine with ISSN in Washington D.C. named Occidental World Magazine (OWM).
OSI – Occidental Studies Institute seeks to explore the mindset and nature of what it is to be an Occidental citizen, living in an Occidental State and an Occidental Society in the current global context; we are trying to find out who Occidental citizens are, where we are going, what our common roots are and, above all else we seek to identify how we can successfully confront the real challenges that we are facing in the world today. OSI – Occidental Studies Institute intends to demonstrate, promote and expand the value of “Westernity” to our own Occidental societies and to other cultures that want to explore the convergence of Western values within our system, to help to show how communication between different communities inside the Western world aids cultural consciousness. OSI seeks to show how what works inside of the Occidental World can work outside it through the development of skills which emerged only out of the emergence of Occidental society itself.
OSI Foundation, through its sections of Human Rights aims to help to improve the situation of undervaluated communities and collective of persons that need to be supported to defend their rights. This is why we implement our strategy with OSI Society to aim to understand the concept of Occidentalism through our Framework Concept of Society, Gender and Citizen relations, promoting our RMI system, our Model of a Real Integration in our territories and mindset, improving our level of Welfare as a develop society through our way to understand the basic concept where all our identity is based: the Family.
Clearly, Mirta is the right person to manage such an organization with her education and work experience in International Relations, Management, Public Relations, Policy Analysis and Strategic Planning.
