Amazon bestselling author Michelle Ayon Navajas’ next poetry book “It Ain’t Winning If Without You” is set to be released on August 15 as India celebrates its Independence Day. It’s just fitting that said release date is a National Holiday because India is Michelle’s literary home for three years now.
At 10, Michelle loved to read the classics like the works of Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Elizabeth Barrett Browning,
“I loved to read even as a little girl, igniting my love for literature and the written language… I have always been fascinated by the magic of words, phrases, and verses.”
Her father inspired her to write as he saw her undeniable potentials in writing.
“As a little girl, I remember writing and scribbling. My father would always cheer me up whenever he read my poems. Whether it was an honest applaud or just a father admiring his little girl, it didn’t matter to me then. So, my papa inspired me to write because he always tells me how good I am, even as a kid. And I believe him. He supported me in joining writing competitions when I was studying. I was part of our school paper which eventually led me to a degree in Journalism. And that was the beginning of my writing profession.”
This led Michelle to many successes in her career and being an Amazon bestselling author is just the tip of the iceberg. Now she is a household name in literary in India.
“First and foremost, I am very honored and grateful to all my beloved readers and followers in India who showered me with so much love and support. They supported me even back then when I was starting blogging. My WordPress followers are mostly Indian writers, poets, and bloggers. And when I ventured into Instagram, I was also overwhelmed by their support. I am forever grateful to them. I also want to thank Penzone Publishers for paving my way to India’s most dynamic writing Industry.”
Her books are very popular in other parts of the world as well especially in her home country, the Philippines.
“There is no denying that my greatest following is from India and followed by my followers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and other parts of Asia; I, too, have a solid following in my home country, the Philippines, as evident in the Kobo.Com sales and feedback. I am also blessed to have my Filipino followers around over the years, who never failed to support my works.”
There’s no stopping Michelle in her love of writing poems. ‘It Ain’t Winning If Without You’ is being seen as another bestselling book.
“It Ain’t Winning If Without You” is my 7th published book. This poetry collection is a testament to the challenges and difficulties we encounter daily and overcoming them with grace and composure. Living the life of our dreams and achieving our goals is sweeter and better when shared with our loved ones; it isn’t really winning without them.”
So, what the future holds for Michelle?
“I am set to publish my first novel next year. So, I guess that is something my avid followers and readers could look forward to soon.”
With her surmounting achievement, Michelle thanks her Indian readers for their undying support.
I will forever be grateful for all the love and support India gave me. India has been home to my books now. I also have a solid India-based following on my social media accounts. So for that, thank you so much, India. I hope one day I will be able to visit you and thank you all personally. See you soon, India.
