FIMT School of Engineering and Technology Celebrates Engineer’s Week 2025 with Great Zeal

The School of Engineering and Technology, Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT) successfully celebrated Engineer’s Week 2025 from 15th to 19th September with a blend of academic excellence, innovation, and cultural vibrancy.

Day 1 – AICTE Auditorium Visit

The week began on 15th September with a visit to the AICTE Auditorium, VasantKunj, where students attended the launch of the PRACTICE Project. The event highlighted project-based learning as a bridge between academia and industry. Students witnessed live demonstrations of innovations in AI, renewable energy, and smart infrastructure, inspiring them to embrace creativity and teamwork.

Day 2 – Induction & Inspiration

On 16th September, the induction program was themed “Inauguration & Inspiration: Becoming an Engineer.” Highlights included the Engineer’s Oath Ceremony, release of the Engineering Journal Drishti, and an inspiring keynote by Dr.Anuradha Chug on the Future of Engineers. Students also showcased prototypes, participated in fun activities, and celebrated the spirit of engineering.

Day 3 – National Science Centre Visit

On 17th September, students visited the National Science Centre, New Delhi. Interactive exhibits on robotics, nanotechnology, and renewable energy enhanced scientific awareness. Hands-on experiences in the Fun Science section and a 3D science show made the day both educational and entertaining

Day 4 – Technical Brilliance & Green Drive

On 18th September, the theme “Technology in Action: Engineering for the Future” guided the day’s activities. Prof. (Dr.) VivekanandJha delivered an insightful address on responsible use of technology. Students presented innovative PPTs, while the Green Drive reinforced FIMT’s commitment to sustainability. Fun-filled activities concluded the day on a joyous note.

Day 5 – Cultural Extravaganza

The grand finale on 19th September was a cultural and technical fusion. Prof. Dharminder Kumar delivered an inspiring technical session, followed by an array of vibrant activities including dance, music, fun awards, and a prototype exhibition. A technical quiz crowned the brightest minds, while performances brought energy and excitement, closing the week with celebration and pride.
