Serial Entrepreneur, Sumnit Paul, whose Group Of Companies include Hospitality, Health & Special Initiatives, spoke At Length With the audience of the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐗𝐓 𝐂𝐗 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 on 22nd September about the evolution of perspective towards customer experience the last few decades by sharing a few witty anecdotes from mythological stories. An avid speaker & contributor to many think tanks Globally, Sumnit shared some of the opinions about the challenges of an ever-changing landscape of customer expectations due to the advent of eCommerce in the Indian economy.
Through the event, Sumnit raised the concern in which he highlighted the scenario in which many eCommerce venture fund fuelled start-ups are in the ever ending spree of inventory acquisition but with no focus on service quality & any visible takeaways for hoteliers, as such players leave no survivable margin for hoteliers and no special incentives. Sumnit has a unique philosophy that supports hotelier’s associations. He said, “Customer Delight can only happen if the hotel owner is delighted”, thereby implying that meeting every hotel’s business margin’s benchmark is central to delivering quality & customer delight to customers at large.
At the moment, Sumnit & his team are believed to be working on a set of essential projects in healthcare & hospitality, keeping in mind the post-Covid scenario and are looking to get in touch with the pain points of service providers & customers alike, as he has an empathetic view towards all as he reconciles himself with his own experiences as an entrepreneur and as a customer.
Sumnit believes that evolution in product post-Covid is the only way to ensure survivability in the long term, and his venture YBB Hotels is doing just that. His experience is slated to launch the cheapest co-working & hybrid working solution In India.
In the event, Sumnit also spoke of India’s transition from being a passive spectator in International arenas from its post-Independence days to being an active participant in the UN & policymaker in bodies like Quad. He thinks that much of this has been only possible of the collective leadership delivering in core areas of the nation’s development, which has eventually given face & spine to India’s Foreign Policy.
Apart from building his business, Sumnit Paul also officiates the India Chapter Of Indian Chamber Of Commerce & Culture, Slovak, where he is on a mission to bring Investment & Industry to India & especially his home state, Bengal. Sumnit & his team have carried on the table a “Look East Plan” where they seek to work closely with governance & business to contribute to the economy. He said that he is very confident of the Governance in Bengal & excited to bring to state a variety of projects from IT Infra To Biotechnology Parks, Auto & MSME Manufacturing.
