Excerpt from the latest conversation with Mr. Adarsh Vasudev, founder and CEO of WestShorebpo Pvt Ltd.

•Please tell us about your entrepreneurship journey and when did you step into the world of business? Who was your inspiration?

I don’t think anyone chooses to be an entrepreneur, and they simply reach the point where they can no longer not be an entrepreneur. Sure, it takes a particular type of individual and set of circumstances, but suddenly you have this sense of unwavering commitment and belief that you can succeed. I can’t remember not wanting to be that kind of person.

My dad has been the biggest inspiration for me. He’s always encouraged me to take risks and chase my dreams, even if that meant leaving a “real job” behind. I think it was because he knew I would be successful at whatever I chose; he saw my potential early on.”

•Have you ever faced any challenge during your entrepreneurial journey amid a pandemic?

The same can be said for business. You never know if you’ll succeed, but the only way to find out is by trying. If you want to be successful in business, you have to take risks and do things differently from everyone else, which means that there are no guarantees of success in entrepreneurship. And if things go wrong or slow.

One of the best ways to handle self-doubt is to look at your goals and tasks list. When you feel demotivated, it helps to know that your tasks contribute to your life goals. By doing them, you’re one step closer, and you can rest assured that you are indeed on the path to business success.

Perseverance and intelligence are your allies. This means that they can help you to get through difficult times. However, you must remember that you’re not the first person to have a hard time running a business. Other people have gone through this before too. They created ways for other entrepreneurs to be successful in their companies, so use them!

•Do you have any success, Mantra?

To be a successful entrepreneur, you need to have a well-defined vision and goal. A clear vision coupled with a focused approach is the first step towards becoming an effective entrepreneur.

Successful entrepreneurs know that their customers are essential to their business, so they do everything to provide what customers need.

•How is Westshorebpo Pvt Ltd different from other companies?

•Any impact of Covid-19 on the BPO sector in India?

 As evident, working from home was the new normal even for many BPOs unlike other countries and with Covid-19 Pandemic the entire BPO sector was revamped and transitioned into remote operations. But yes, there were many challenges in terms of Data security and monitoring as the lockdown situation was totally uncertain which was not experienced before. Eventually all the challenges were overcome with various technical and digital changes so that we remain ahead of the curve with updated digital technologies and work from anywhere and anytime with total data security.
